Need some info on the alesis io 26

Looking to purchase an Alesis I/O 26...I've just been using a no-name mixer into a Delta external sound card....is there any advantage to not being able to mix in pre-prduction? Or would you be able to...I've been trying to find some good info on this thing, but so far I'm stumped. Someone please help!!!

I have an io26 and i really dig it alot.

I'm not exactly sure what your questions are so feel free to elaborate.
The Alesis uses a software mixer which is fully capable if you find it necessary, I don't use it much.

I'm just wondering why you need an io26 ?
You have a Delta(model ?).

Anyway, there are a few of us here with this model of interface.
