need some help getting started

i just switched from acid to cool edit
im using it to record vocals over instrumentals
any pointers to someone who is a beginner to cool edit
i just wanna start on the right foot???

thats way too general. If you are familiar with multi tracking programs at all, then a lot of this will be fairly similar. Do you have any specific questions?

When recording, watch your levels. Get started using the program, keep reading the Help, and learn as you go. Ask specific questions here when you can't figure something out.

Do a search on this site and on google for Cool Edit Pro guides/tutorials. I'm pretty sure there's some on the adobe website as well.

They go through all the main features of the program and how to do the main tasks.
