Test Song

A few people have commeted about the snare sound. Do you think it is to loud or jsut does not sound good?

I just just htink it sounds too dull. Try cutting the lows and highs and raise the mids just a little bit. Reverb would be great too. I like your bass drums though a lot! I also think your guitar tone is much better than it was. Really the only thing that sticks out is the snare sound.

hey check out my sound clip. You can get a chance to rip on my stuff haha. I'm going for a cavernous sound. I did this recording really really quick. I just wanted to record my riff with a beat I made in beatcraft. The right is the vamp2 and the left is my 210 v tone combo amp miked with a sm57. My audio interface is a firebox and my recording software is cubase le.

You sure you didn't select "wood block" for your snare track on accident?

Did you use a drum machine or record drums for the test track?? If you recorded them tell me how you recorded the bass drum?? What mic, any effects etc?? cause it sounds really good. :D and has a proper kick to it.
Cheers

It is a drum machine on the test track. I am using Beatcraft for my drum machine software.

Sounds good to me. More of a black metal sound on the guitars in my opinion. But over all a good sound.

love the guitar track, but as a drummer I have to admit the snare was alittle much, especially in the blast beat. You might want to lower the snare track a bit. Are you able to choose another snare sample on your drum machine?

peace

I did EQ the Snane a bit and some reverb as well. I will try lowering it in the mix and uploading it again in a day or two. It is harder than I thougth to get a good Snare drum sound.

hey you should read the tutorials on beatcraft. There is one where it shows how to eq the drums. I got my snare to sound pretty good. I think anyways. Hey here is a newly version of that riff.
