I've been browsing the forums here for a bit. Haven't posted much as I do try to use that search feature first. I'm just looking for honest opinions, suggestions, and any input on mixing ideas. I know the forums aren't to kind to rap type music but I have to rap since I can't sing; I probably can't rap to well either. But I would like to think I do intellectual rap if there is such a thing. I just like writing more than anything. The song below was half recorded and half mixed by a friend of mines who recorded my other friend who sings the hook. The only parts I did were to verses. Thanks for any positive and negative feedback.

Gear on my part:

Too much effects on the vocals and they're too quiet - I can't make out what you're saying in the verse. Rest is good.

Thanks for the input. My singer buddy said I was offbeat. I told him IDK! I'm just rapping. But I think i have too much reverb on the verses. I'm thinking of going back to the mixing board. My ideas are to have main vocals centered. Record one voice over and pan it right and record another voice over and pan it left. Would that be too much though?
