need Help !!

I install the cool edit pro 2.1 but when i load the music and press record there is no sound(cannot hear music)...Why is it so ?

do i need to install any plugin ? Hope to get so help thks !!

What do you mean load the music? And then press record?

What recording equipment are you using? How do you have it hooked up?

What's your soundcard? Have you told Cool Edit which ins and outs to talk to on your soundcard?
