Ummm... I'm just listening with Boston Acoustics on my PC and it sounded "not so good"

There's too much reverb in the song.

Vocals are not seated well.

Whatever electronic stuff you got going on in the background is ear-peircing.

I only listend to like the first couple of vocal lines and had to kill it. Really work on the verbs and the vocal's seat in the mix.

Sorry if this comes accross rude. I just don't blow smoke when people ask for a critique. It was a good solid effort. Keep trying, you'll get it right eventually. I mean all this as an encouragement!!!! :o)

Peace.

I have to agree, the vocals are much too loud, and don't sit well. He's drowing out the rest of the mix. And the electronic thing that is supposed to be in the background is much too harsh. I had to stop it too. I'm sorry I couldn't listen all the way through. Remix it to seat the vocals a bit more, take out ALOT of reverb and bring down the electronic thing, and you'll have something.

Like the droning intro.. guitar seems to come in very loud and then the level drops almost too much when the rest of the instruments kick in and the guy says "here we go". Hmm.. not sure how I feel about the phaser on the vox. I like the vocals but i'm feeling like the effect is too noticeable.

The groove of the band is cool, vox line at 1:50 seems a little weak and points afterwards. Overall sound though I like the music, maybe getting a little mix crowded around the 2:50 mark I'm not sure what was added at that section and I had trouble separating it.

As i head into the 3rd verse i get the feeling that the singer started to run out of melodic variations, some lines at 4:30 feel almost timid. Lot of potential to this, good luck with your release.

low point- vocals. take off that effect, whatever it is. Loses it 'effect' when used throughout the whole song. use it the verses and then clean it up for the chorus. the vocals should really be done all over again. they are very off key and just uninspirational performance. I'm not trying to be mean at all. I think you should be able to hear it if something sounds that off.

the good. guitars. a little eqing and they'll sound great. alittle too high on the mids.
The song is pretty good to. add some overdubs at the chorus to bring it all in and you'll have something to be proud of.

Beginning drone is a bit drawn out.

Guitars sound cool before the drums kick in, but then they loose their grit.
Kick needs more punch. It's a bit too round sounding. Snare is ok. Cymbals are a bit pretty for this song. Sounds like the drummer is afraid to hit the drums.

Bass is non existant. Needs some pop.

I'm not digging the flanger/chorus on the vocals. Can't hear the vocals real well anyhow, and that just covers it up more. Plus it's distorting in places.

Not crazy about the parts of the song where the dirt guitars go away. Not talking about 4:25, but during the verses where it's just clean strumming. It's just sort of sounds weird.

Recording is nice and clean. I'd like to hear the vox track without the effect.

My comments: d rums sound "trap kit-like" not enough power to them for this kind of tune, I think.
I think the vocal would be killer without the effect...

Guitars sound good.

Cheers,
C
