need help with sub mixer and sound cards

hi
i bought a yamaha mg12/4 pretty normal to me, and a fostex mr-8 multi track a few months aga now.
i've released i just put my wav tracks on computer so why do i use the multi track. i'm am looking to sell the multi track and buy a good sound card. but which one and how do i connect the mixer to the sound card.
Though phono????? i though that would be bad quality??
ANY HELP PLZ THX

i all so have cubase already so i have something to record it on to
 
For 4 inputs, the M-Audio Delta 44 goes for $150.
Fo 8 ins, the DElta 1010LT goes for $220

i only need one input cause i'm coming from the mixer.
I've got 1.2 processer
256 ram
64 video card
but i'm only using on board sound card so thats why i want one
