hi ppl~ new here just wanna ask how i can record for example my own voice with a song which i've already taken out the vocals part? :p

You need a multi-track recording program, a microphone, and an interface.

i have a mic.. but what's an interface and a multitrack recording programme? like?

>_<

You post in Cool Edit Forum must mean u have Cool Edit....thats a multitrack recording.
And an interface is your soundcard. Or a outside source.

If you don't have cool edit or any other program search Wikipedia for DAW and read up on it.

....and this should be in the Newb forum....

yeah i have cool edit pro.. i used it to remove the vocals already but i can't find a way of recording my voice with the song i edited..

RTFM. You just need to plug your mic into your soundcard (rtfm for which input to plug it into) and set up CEP to record that input.

Yeah u see in the multitrack section? The red R click on that in an empty channel and there you go.

Also make sure ur mic is plugged in.

ok i got it.. must my stereomix vol and mic vol be of a certain no.? cos when i playback i always hear the music louder then my recording and it always has this very bursting effect like some feedback i think they call that~
