Okay, I'm not a sound engineer, but this should be simpler than I thought. I recorded my acoustic guitar and it sounds tinny. I tried to adjust the EQ to round it out, but when I do it clips like crazy.

Can anyone share an EQ setting for acoustics? (edit -- link removed)
Thanks. Oh, BTW, this is Audition.

Assuming your EQ is starting flat...

Slowly take away from your mids and lows...see if that works.

It could also be an issue with your equipment.

If it sounds tinny its probably due to lack of bass and low mids. So you should have tried to cut the highs and high mids. But most likely you just need to rerecord it, move the mic closer to the sound hole to get more bass in the recording.

dosent the eq youre using have an output on it?
meaning you can increase the different frequencies gains, and then lower the overall effect output so you dont clip the track.

This is what I ended up doing. It worked much better.
