No, you don't want to use plywood fronts on the bass traps. Use cloth that allows the sound waves to pass thorugh - if you can blow through the cloth, it'll work. I think you're referencing traps for the first reflection points (on side walls) - these would be placed for mixing, using a mirror held at the wall to judge where to place them - sitting at your mixing spot, the mirror should show your monitor speakers.
thank you very much. does fabric block all those tiny particles coming out of rock wool? can I wrap each rock wool slab panel into something like plastic or again it doesn't allow rock wool to do the absorption?
yes, exactly. I saw some videos about finding the place of the first reflection and using an absorption panel in that area, but what I had in mind was that these panels will act as both absorption and an insulation panels, am I wrong? I'm asking this because I can use about 8 panels (2*4') on the side walls where first reflection happens, would that do any good?
