Can't transfer ADAT tracks to Cubase w/ ALESIS I/O 14 optical connection
Hi,
I just switched over to an Alesis I/O 14 for recording at home and also to transfer all of my old ADAT recordings over to Cubase.
I want to preserve all the tracks on the ADAT tapes so I'm using the Adat Optical connection on the I/O 14 and the ADAT(typeII).
So far I think I've done all the right things and I can get the audio in thru the Alesis Hardware Direct Monitor that came with my software bundle.
IS there anyone out there that has done this that can help me find what I'm missing:
I don't know whether I am supposed to prepare a 24 trk session to import the songs or what.
I've set the time code to originate from the ADAT in the Device Manager section under VST Link.
HELP???
