Ok I just got my new behringer truth monitors tonight....i havent had time yet to test them out...i went out and got 2 1/4'' 10 foot cables....heres where my problem starts.....i was looking through the manual and it came up about cables....it showed unbalanced 1/4'' and balanced with diagram pictures....i looked at my cables and they are unbalanced cause they dont got the 2 rings and the thing in the middle of the rings....but theni look on my package for my cables and it says mic/balanced cable.....will these cables i bought be ok to put in my monitors? im going from my monitors to a digi002 rack

That sounds contradictory. If you don't have a Tip, Ring, and Sleeve on your 1/4" connector, it is not balanced. Does your cable have 1/4" connectors on both ends?

yes....it is on both ends 1/4''.....will it work with my monitors?

You certainly will not harm anything by using those cables. You may experience noise problems, but then again, you may not. Give it try and see if it works for you.

Theory says you'll be 6dB down with unbalanced cable (half as loud compared to balanced), but noise is more the issue. As Raw-tracks said you might get away with it. My pc soundcard has unbalanced outputs and i have absolutely no problems with noise.
So, the cables you've got will be fine, but if i were you i'd take them back and point out the mistake on the packaging. Also ask yourself the question, do i need 10ft cables? maybe you do, but the longer the run of cable the more likely you are to have problems with noise/signal loss, esp on unbalanecd cable.
