I know, I know.....I think it's the "studio under construction" thing that's making me cranky. Another week or two should finish it. Today I'm making a corner seating unit and a desk to house my mixer, rack gear, monitors and TFTs. Still got 2 back corner bass traps to make and I'm waiting on the glass getting cut for the control room windows

Frustraited....sorry newbies :)
Sounds like you're doing really well! So ... if you need someone to shout at and sell Behringer gear to, I'm .... oh, never mind :o

I want a stereo Pre that's gonna outshine my Topaz board and my M-Audio TAMPA, FR Twintrack Pro? Maybe i DON'T even need one, just not sure on what to get next.
The Topaz has a wierd AUX send system, 2 out of 6 on one channel at mixdown (post|). Seems a bit fuct after the 6 available on my A&H Saber. Not even pre/post switch on the first 2, infact 1 goes to the channel strip, 2 goes to the monitor return.... 3/5 & 4/6 are switchable....

I've got some pretty shitty outboard, A Lexi Mpx 100 and an old Alesies microverb III....there goes 2 out the 4 available on mixdown. I'm thinking of a TC M300, or maybe the M1 and using as two seperates instead of dual stereo to fill the other (AUX 5 & 6) effects busses.....

Mind the days you'd be in the pub with head in hands trying to work out a problem and a voice would go.......moan son, it'll be awright...I never even knew yer mother!......welll...you know what iu mean

If you don't eat your meat you can't have any pudding!

So ... does that mean you're inviting me up for mutual internship or not?

;)

Toft ATC-2 is the answer to your question, certainly if you're considering the Focusrite ... otherwise maybe Avalon 737 or something ....???
