i just got a Roland Boss Dr-660 drum machine, a Yamaha PSR-220 and a Roland U-220 sound module and according to the manuals i'm supposed to use the keyboard's midi thru to hook to the sound module but it only has midi in and midi out. the midi cable from my computer has a midi in and midi out cable not just one midi cable so if i hook it to my keyboard i have no other plugs to connect the other two...the sound module has a midi thru but it says i'm not supposed to hook that up as the first thing, and if i do i have no way to connect the drum machine. i'm moving on the 2nd and i need to know how to have it all hooked up by then...thanks

You have a few options. (I'll list 2 of them :) ).

You will have to daisy chain them.

MIDI OUT to MIDI IN. ;)

one example...
COMPUTER>KEYBOARD>SOUND MODULE>DRUM MACHINE

OR...

Buy an USB MIDI interface. (It'll give you multiple INS/OUTS)

Look for the Midisport 2X2 or 4X4

:D

Go for the 4x4 so you won't first buy the 2x2 and then need more and have to go get the 4x4 like I did.

Oh well now I have 6x6!

yup.. the 4x4.. cause you can't daisy chain those modules..
