Need choice on great quality but cheap, first studio monitor. And few questions..

How big is your room? If you have a small room go for the krk 5's. The size of the monitor depends on the size of the room.

I have krk's and I like them. They aren't Genelec quality, but they are decent.
Overall, I like them.

Monitor quality does matter, but most importantly its how you operate and function with them.
 
You really have to see what brand fits you best..Like,I've been using m-audios av30's.I got them for about a hundred bucks and they have absolutely no low-end.You really have to adjust to what you're using and find what fits your price range I guess
