okay i apologize to the few people who attempted to help that i didn't single out as doing so. i only got people wanting to talk shit about me trying to make my own recording device or my name on here (why the fuck would it matter i didn't make a witty cute name?). it had nothing to do with sounding 'bad'. i think what sounds bad is most of the music alot of you guys listen to more then likely. i music by people who did it themselves and didn't rely on some record company or wasting money on equipment for a record i only care to let a small niche of people to listen to. i was aiming for more of a mummies or hasil adkins type sound. it's about recording the song i had in my head right at that very moment not waiting til i can find a job and save my money and get the shit that everybody else i using to record a song that only has three chords in it to begin with. as for the name well it's just the kind of person i am, as you all can see now i don't do well with shit talkers when i was seriously asking for some help or advice. i very well could've looked harder on youtube (like i did) and find exactly what i was looking for. i hope nobody has anything else to say it's over with i won't say shit anymore i don't need anymore help or bullshit from people about how stupid my name is or how uncool the idea of low-fi is. to be perfectly clear thanks to the following:

Yeah, he was a bit of a strange one. I'll have to cut down on the smart-arse replies I think... must re-read the Newbie Charter and become a force for good again instead of evil.

I have noticed, as a sweeping over-generalisation, US people can sometimes, just occasionally, every now and then, tend not to "get" what I'll describe as British / Irish / Australian / NZ humour...

You don't always get the exact answer you're looking for here, alas, or any at all. I remember, many moons ago when I first came here, asking all sorts of highly specific questions and getting all sorts of answers to things I hadn't even asked, and people poking fun a bit too.. and it was a bit frustrating sometimes, but no occasion for rudeness on that scale..

Oh well, I'm probably enhancing his fame by keeping this thread alive now, aren't I!
