Need Advice on Piano module

I am not a keyboard player by any stretch of the imagination.
However, I do have a Fatar Studio Logic SL880 controller, and a client who wants to come in to my place to record some piano tunes.
Is there any reasonably priced modules out there with some decent piano sounds?
For instance, to my ears the Alesis Nano Piano has one or 2 "decent enough" sounds. I see them for about $100 bucks or so. But I wonder if there is something "better"or cheaper that might serve me a little better in the long run that has a few more good sounds. The whole gig will only pay about $100 bucks so I dont necessarily want to spend a thousand just to make a hundred.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The Nano's okay. Yamaha, Roland, and Kurzweil all used to make piano modules too, should be in the $75-150 range used. You might like them a little better, but they're all comparable.

If your studio is set up for VST, the mda-Piano is a freebie VSTi that sounds as good as any board out there.

Good luck.

Thanks guys,
I'll start hunting with those modules in mind.
Thanks for the advice on the VSTIs. I am not set up to use those, but do have a second computer that I could set up with the Giga software. But by the time I get a monitor, software, and an "approved" card, I may be up to 300-400 bucks.
On second thought, I do have Sonar 1.XX something that came bundled with something I bought. I remember the vsti's did not sound that great though, but maybe I could sync the 2 computers together and try the softsynths.Hmmmm... options anyway. It still may be simpler to use a dedicated module, I'm all for simple.

Thanks, Any additional suggestions would be appreciated.

Not all VSTis are created equal. Take the time to download mdaPiano (and their electric piano) and try that in Sonar. I think you'll like the sound. Check to see if they have a DXi version. If not the Sonar VST wrapper should handle it fine. SampleTank free has a good sounding piano sample, too - I had trouble with dropouts, though - that's when I discovered mda.

If you've got Giga, the Gigapiano is excellent - and I believe it comes bundled with the higher-end Giga products.

And I forgot about the Proformance. It's right in there with the Roland P-55 and the Kurz micropiano in terms of sound quality.

would you be interested in a sound font? I have a couple that I think sound pretty good, but I'm not sure where a couple of them came from. Sonic Implants has one that I bought, but I like some of the freebies I have better. But, as I said, it might take a minute to find out where you can download them from.
