Greetings all!
I am new here, but have read some great info on these pages. I have been programming hip-hop type stuff for about two years. I am using an older version of Cakewalk to edit all MIDI and digital samples. I want to get into syncing digital audio samples, like of bass lines and horn parts. I have no idea what the best way to do this would be. Cakewalk does allow me to record the digital audio and manipulate it somewhat, but it will not stretch or compress the audio to fit exactly with my MIDI tempo. I would like to complete this task with a piece of computer software if possible. But I realize I may need some type of sampler. I have looked into Roland's Groove Sequencer. But as I said, I would really like to do everything on the computer if possible. Does anyone have any suggestions????
I keep hearing all these songs with flawless sampling in them (the syncing I mean) and I would really like to be able to add this element to my music. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
Thanks! JNB
