Hi, as you can see I am a beginner. I have a 2 channel stereo mixer and I want to create a master cassette with me talking and background music, and sound effects.

What do I need to get the background music sound effects. Sometimes I want sea water sounds and wind, etc. Is it called a digital processor. I want a basic one if that is what it is.

Thank you.

Thankyou, I guess this will have to work for now...however for future I was looking for something like I believe a compact digital processor around $l50.00 or so. that had sound effects in it.

They don't make one.... What you would be looking at is a keyboard or a sampler with the sounds...

$500++++

This digital effect box your speaking of is usually just for reverb (echo) and delay and stuff, but doesn't have it's own sounds..

The cd's have 1000's of sound on them and all you need to do is use a cd player and hook the outs of it into your recorder..

Simple, cheap and it will sound great.

I can't see you doing much better than that set up, unless you go the keyboard or sampler route..

Im 99.9% sure the digital processor your talking of doesn't exist.

But, thats just my opinion. Maybe some others have some Ideas.

Joe

Thank you, you've been so helpful. I will go the route of the CD.
