Need a new toy!!

I would think if you would get more use out of the Ebow.
 
Hey GT its funny you asked that, I want to get both as well. I have been think about buying an E-Bow for sometime now and have always wanted a talk box since I first heard Framptom Comes Alive. Now neither one is real expensive and everytime I buy new gear it ends up just not quite making the cut, cause I think well I can get that any time and I always buy something else instead for my Studio setup. Then I read your post and said, man "anytime" never comes, I have to fix that and go buy one these this weekend, but then again I have those new Active Monitors (Blue SKY Sytem One) I want, maybe I'll wait till after the monitors ......Lottery thats the answer.
 
I think you would get more use out of the EBow... I think the talk box would get old, fast...

Maybe, maybe not... tuff call...

Go with the Ebow.

Just ask yourself how many songs you know of that used a talkbox, and compare that number to how many songs have used EBow's. <G>

Plus with the Talk Box you need a mic and mic amp....

How about a Boss stomp box seven band eq, any good?

Quiet enough for recording?

I have a talk box. It is basically a larger than necessary doorstop/toe stubber with a tube sticking out of the center.

It is a strange looking beast that people assume is some really nasty sex toy.

I've used it twice: Once to actually record with, and once to suck crickets into the tube and spit them back out into my son's leapard frog tank.

I know my comments would sell anyone on a talk box. But don't go on my endorsement alone. Take all opinions into consideration, and then go buy a talk box. ;)

You can get so many cool sounds out of it! I want one bad!!

If ya get on and it isn't your thing I'll buy it off ya, for a reduced price of course...

Of course with the talk box, you could play the frampton song over and over again. Plus the tube comes in handy with cricket stuff... wait a minute... IT HAS A TUBE!!! TUBEZ RULE!! you gotta get the talk box cause it has a tube!!!! :rolleyes:

I have an E-bow and think it's pretty cool.If you want synthy sounds it'll get you there.It's kind of a guitar players imitation of a synth.

If you're thinking about a talk box beware! You may need two amps or a mike into a PA.Checkout the configuration before buying.Here's a talk box I'm interested in....

If my guitar could talk I think it would say;

"Say do ya think we could MAYBE get some new strings once in awhile, I mean come on, it's been six months."

"Would it hurt you MAYBE to learn a new lick or two, once in awhile?"

"Say, do ya think MAYBE you could get out the Pledge once in awhile, the smudges are starting to get crusty!"

EBow's starting to look pretty good!
