My Alesis Studio 24 died. It was a good workhorse for 4 years and I'm going to miss it. I need a new one. What mixer do you recommend for around 400 used or new. I've been looking on eBay and there's a few to choose from. This would just be used for practicing in my basement and recording. I'd like decent pre's. I'll hook everything up to the mixer then output the (secondary?) mains to my Lexicon U42S for recording. So I don't need a million channels but a sweep mid would be nice. I've been eyeing the MG166C or CX by Yamaha. Or the Tascam USB looks nice. I don't know whether I need the effects though.
