Need a CD Burner

I need to buy a new cd burner for my computer. Have heard great things about the Plextor Premium (PlexWriter PRemium) series, but this is no longer in production. Is this still the most recommended or is there another model as good or another better? Thanks.
 
Plextor. You need and want it, and Plextools :cool: Their DVD burners are great, don't worry if you can't get the Premium.
 
What about the 716 series? I think it comes with the Plextools.
 
Yeah, i just bought the 716 and have been using it for a few weeks now. its a great drive, and plextools is a neat thing to have.
 
Another question, which model do ya'll have the px716a or the px716SA?
 
i think mine is the PX716A, they are all the same except i think the 716SA is SATA. there's also a firewire version of the 716.
 
i have a yahama burner drive thats high speed. ive been thinking of takin apart the computer for parts
