I see deaf people
well not really but now you're here you may as well have a listen lol

it electronica, its old skool, and its 6 mins long...so i did warn everyone :)

bass at the beginning needs retracked..I think my JV was clipping the emp effects unit on the mixers send...bad boy, I should've paid more attention

bass & kick get little muddy on my system, ive tried cutting frequencies but Im stumped...

I need the drums BIGGER...not more volume but that mid nineties big beat sound if any one has any suggestions...unless of course they sound big enough as is, Ive been doing this for over a week now so Ive lost sight

any comments/listens more than appreciated, it's called "death flies from them"

btw used a new plugin on one of the synths "Audio Damage's Replicant" $50...excellent, (great little company too)

Damn...naked nazi girls was enough to get me clicking immediately...the surfing part was just gravy. Oh well, I'm having a listen despite my initial disappointment.

Not all that familiar with this sort of thing although I've heard my share here and there. I think it sounds great. Love the synths and the drums sound just about right for this. There is an odd sort of gate effect that chops the verb off abruptly especially on the snare, but it sounds kind of cool that way.

Didn't mind the length at all (it seemed shorter) although I would rather get to the meat of the tune a little quicker. What did you use for bass...it certainly moves right along. Maybe others will have some tips, but I thought it sounded great on bookshelf speakers with sub hooked up to the laptop.:)

Doesn't really get going...for a while, at least.
Then, it's like a whole different song. Some interesting sounds, but song needs more of a hook, or movement, or something...
Mix sounds pretty good on laptop speakers.
Its got potential - do you have any ideas to build on this?
Rich

thanks mate..I just noticed the end samples a bit low some im bringing it up

for the snare I brought up the bottom mic on the rattle much higher than the tops "pop", just because their wasn't enough kick to keep the beat interesting..and it came up with that effect, well i think thats what caused it...greg will give me a telling off ;)

the main bass is a real bass, filtered and looped with the higher frequencies of a softsynths bass arp on top..I think it gives it a bit more sub...too much in fact I had to filter out most of it lol

thanks for listening and commenting heat!

I have recorded vocals for it but no matter what I did they just didnt fit..

I kinda like how long it takes to get going...just for the hell of it but I dont have much more ideas for much else...for just now that is :)

I was going to add a third part with more traditional rock/synth sound...maybe I could get the vocals in then...and stop it around 12 minutes in length lol

thanks for listening and comment Rich!

Like said before, the intro is a little long.
I liked it a lot, could be in a Guy Ritchie film.:)

Hehe.....tartan humour....we need more of that around here:D
Man, those Nazi girls really groove once the rythm part sets in. Intro might be a bit long but the rest is great. Wonderful use of synths. This grooves like hell to me Keith and I can imagine loads of ecstasy pumped kids grooving to it on a dance floor in some dirty club. Great!

Joey :):):):)

cheers Joey...you da man

the beginning is the angels coming down to take the souls of men, the rhythm part is mankind struggling until they give up and say "fuck it lets party"

I mean if thats not obvious I dont know what is

or I could just be talking shite :D

thanks for listening dude...I know this isnt your regular parking spot so comments are welcome...the mixing felt good to me on this...its getting better each track :)

Sounds like a Christmas creation! Siberia express or something.

Only thing that sounds out of place it the early gritty , dry synth...in the midst of the angels. But you're whacking at it already.

Nice sounds. Interesting listen!

thanks Jeff...Ill retrack the bass during the week.....knocked 30 secs off the intro (it was a bit self indulgent, I just purchased a vocal expansion board ;) ), and added a few of the bells at the outro

yup its my christmas song, lol...never though of that :)

It sounds like the Orb. I actually think the snare drum is too loud, if that's possible for a song like this. It's more dominant than the kick and I kind of just want it to blend in with synths instead of laying on top of them. And maybe the snare sample sounds too much like a real kit for this song, but that's a judgment call. Here's an idea: Use a few different sample kits in this song and save this one for a part in which you want the song to lift. It's common for electronic songs like this to switch drum sounds (and beats) midriff, often multiple times within one tune. You definitely are getting better at programming the drums though. Cool.

thanks Nave...i spent a bit of time on them, Im ready for Greg L to say "I like the drums the rest is shite" then my work here is done ;)

its a tough call with the drums...this was meant to be more big beat than say techno but Ive made a poor choice of main synths for that genre..

Ill have a try with other samples but Im kinda liking these..any more electronic then its just a dance track instead of a study into mans mortality and how that is intertwined with faith....lol (well i think im funny!)

I screwed up the choir intro when shortening it so Im fixing it now....

btw this wont even play on soundclick or reverbnation...its sounds like the choir's going through a blender...fucking disappointing :(

You had me at nazi........

I think I heard this song on the Beverly Hills Cop 2 soundtrack. :D

The drums are all wrong for this. That snare is anyway. Sounds way too real for this kind of late 80's club pop. Too loud too. More huge kick, less snare. Lol @ burning ecstasy. And I thought my shit was cheesy! :D

I didn't even notice the length - that's what she said. It is a long song just looking at the time, but it doesn't feel too long, so good job there. It flowed right along. Everything sounds fine except for the drums. I'd give them a total re-work.

pah you and your drums :D

Ill try some different kits but they were meant to sound real...glad you are now into big beat and will spend the rest of your days dancing with the kids and spreading texan love though;)

thanks for listening mate!

I used to inadvertently be pretty in-tune with techno electronica industrial crap. Back in the day, I'd hang out at dance clubs because the chicks were hot, clean, and slutty. The stupid music was easy to tolerate when you knew you were gonna get at least a blowjob before the night was over. KMFDM and The Thrill Kill Kult were the cats tits! Suck it, bitch! :D

woooooooo you go girl..;)

I was more into meat beat manifesto and psychic TV but Thrill Kill were kewl...was actually a good scene until rave culture took over it...i bet you were a great dancer dude :)

dunno about the drums...I may be stubborn here...ive tried a 909 kit and Id basically have to redo the beat completely...more a four on the floor to get them to work, and I didnt want that style in the first place.

Ill take the snare down a notch and work on the kick then see if that helps

Sure. Leave it, but less snare and more kick.

MBM was okay. I still like some Ministry and RevCo. I don't remember too much else. That whole time period for me was a haze of LSD and blowjobs. No dancing for me, but lots of fights and sex. :D
