Layed this down this morning.I was trying to figure out how
Jeff beck got some of those nasty tones on wired.I still aint
sure exactly how he did it,but I came up with something similar.
This is just a little sunday morning fun.I did not spend much time on the mix as I am really just want opinions on the guitar tone.

Aint' nuttin' nazty bout' it ....... :D

Man I am diggin the groove in a big way.......

The one thing I had to do was to turn it way up....seems like the overall mix is low..........it is hard to say which tone I like and which one is just OK...there are two tracks here.......and one has a better sound than the other.........I guess it would be the one in the higher register that I like........probably the same thing chain wise but.the lower one sounds a bit duller...I like the bright guit a lot more man...

Very very cool,
Joe

This is very much a nice, relaxing little jam.

The guitar is presented very authentially in this style. It's talking.
The tone is dirty, but not nasty, kind of like what The Ghost of FM does with his voice in 'Then I'd Rule'
coincidentally.

Nice pinch H ...

As you reach into the midrange, it's balanced, and I mean the lead is has the same quality as the lows.

Cool jam.

Thanks for jamming and sharing.

We don't get a lot of this on this lonely martian outpost ... so we appreciate it ! Everything is red and orange around here
so we really like the blues to ! Did you put sumpin' in mah .... oh wow ...

Hey, thanks for the listen.

If I were to take the guitar track off the recording, would you be interested in laying some violin on it and see what happens?
You know, half a violin part, plus the guitar playing...just a thought, let me know...

I am ALWAYS interested in adding to my collab stash and I LOVE tracks that present me with a canvas to stretch out on.

Especially guitar driven tracks.

I'm overextended on collab right now, but I'm getting into the groove and am going to be knocking out a lot of these soon.

I want to put this in my pocket for sure, so let's take the first 'Steps of Production' now, to get me a good track to track to.

Now, I have your original track to inspire my playing, and I think it's important that I 'represent' for this genre, and your playing is an excellent guide.

I'll plan on laying my tracks clean, so you can do stuff with them, maybe try to give the viola or violin 'this' sound that you are reaching into here with your lead.

Again, a chance to solo over the authentic blues style is welcomed.

Plus it's a short track ideal for presentation.

Take the cymbals-ride down a touch for me. Bring the snare up just a 'hair' ... bass drum down a tiny touch also.

A touch more verb on the snare.

And ummmm, center the guitars a bit more, I want to play closer in between them, and have the chance to pan out also. The are a bit wide right now.

Upload for me at no less than 192kbps, no greater than 256kbps ... PM when upload is finished.

PM me with any details if needed.

I hear several of the tones Beck got on Wired, but I think you`ll get more of the voice out a better if you closet that amp and turn it up till you can smell it, and mic it at about a foot. It needs just a bit more crunch to me.
p.s. Dont swallow the juice off that cigar your chewin' :)

closet that amp and turn it up till you can smell it,

EXACTLY! - You're almost there. And that's exactly why they don't put '11' on your knobs - 'cause you're supposed to go there.

Nice jam

Joro, there is only one lead guitar track on this tune.I think that the difference you are hearing is in fretboard position.(There are
2 rythm guits,is that what you meant?)anyway ,thanks for listening.
Toki,Im gonna rdo this song today ,with a vocal.I will take your suggestion about amp volume and mic placement.B.T.W.,I am still
trying to figure out what I am doing wrong as far as backing up to disk goes. Not sure if the aw extract program is querky,or if Im
just an idiot.Iwill let you know.

Tone was mostly there - I think I'd have picked up on the Beck thing even if you hadn't mentioned it. Sounded most convincing on the vibrato notes.

The delivery isn't much like Beck though - he uses a lot of space, his lines tend to be really fluid, and he works outside the 5 note scale a lot.

Still, you asked about tone - it's mostly there, not sure how to tell you to get closer.

Nice playin', too!
