I wrote and tracked this last summer, but I lost interest and never finished it up. Now that we're in the middle of winter it seems like as good a time as any to dust it off and try to make something out of it. :drunk:

I'm on the fence about a few things with the mix. I wanna see if anyone else mentions them. Let me know what you think. :thumbs up:

Thanks,
Greg

Napalm Beach
There's a place we like to go
There aint never any snow
At Napalm Beach
Get chemical burns on your ass
Cut your feet on broken glass
At Napalm Beach

Party at Napalm Beach
It's the hottest place to be
Party at Napalm Beach
Party at Napalm Beach
Hang ten in a poison sea
At Napalm Beach

Dead fish washed up everywhere
You'll end up losing all your hair
At Napalm Beach
Fat chicks lying in the sun
Skin cancer for everyone
At Napalm Beach

Party at Napalm Beach
Have a picnic with the family
Party at Napalm Beach
Party at Napalm Beach
Eat bananas full of DDT
At Napalm Beach

Party at Napalm Beach
You'll need SPF 103
Party at Napalm Beach
Party at Napalm Beach
Get high on the seaweed

That's a fun tune. Got a great vibe to it.

Personally I'd like to hear the bass drum come down slightly and the bass guitar come up. The bassline is great but a little too low. But then again, I'm a bassist and I like loud bass.

Other than that, I think it's great.

I don't know Gerg, sounds pretty good to me. Great punchy drum sounds, just like this type of tune seems to need. I hear the bass and guitars just fine, and vocals are easy to understand without being outside the mix. If my tunes turned out like this, I might actually stil try and record some of my ideas...:D

Good tune. I like it. :thumbs up:

Thanks for checking it out guys. Your comments are appreciated. :D

I hate you...

Lol. Why?

Because I listened and couldnt find anything majorly wrong!

Nice job.

Ramone's-ish after it kicks in. Love the energy. Drums and guitars sound great. Not sure I like the bass tone yet. Might be one of those things that has to grow on me.

The backing "whoo's" get a little shaky. Just a little.

This is fantastic!

I like the bass tone, though my recent posts indicate that I'm more flexible than most. If there's anything shaky (and there isn't to me), I like it the way it is. What do you want, over-processed pop?!

Haha, cool. Thanks.

Thanks man. Singing aint my strong point, and I'm just fine with that. :D

Really liking the bass, but really what makes this a masterpiece is that seagull! Really sounds like a black hood.. Punch them in the kidney and they'll give you that infamous 'squaaawk!' which has found its way into so many classic recordings!

Lol. What?

Thanks for listening though. :D

Got that Ramones vibe. REAL high energy. Makes me wanna do a stage dive. Mix is just right. I like the feedback on the outro. Pretty cool sir.

Nice! The only nit I really spotted was the pitchiness on the "whoos".

Also, no matter what Soundcloud says, you sound nothing like Alicia Keys or Sigur Ros. :D

Lol. Thanks for listening. And WTF? Does soundcloud really say something like that? I mean, Alicia Keys maybe, we are very similar, but who the fuck is Sigur Ros?

Sigur Ros are an orchestral/post rock type band from Iceland. Man, I reckon you'd hate 'em - you sound more like Alicia Keys :laughings:

I listened hard to try and pick out the parts you might have had mix reservations over. Other than the backing vocals, which I didn't reckon were too much of an issue, the only thing I heard was a small hiccup around 20secs on the beach sample. Might just have been my PC or soundcloud encoding, but might also have been a join in the sample. I dunno?

Mix sounds great as usual - if the oil ever dries up I reckon you could power America with that guitar sound.

Yeah it did. can't remember for sure, but it was something like: "If you like this artist, you might also like Alicia Keys." It was good for a chuckle. SoundCloud rocks.

Thanks dude. The ocean sounds was just something I swiped off youtube. I had reservations about using it at all because it's pretty pointless and dumb, but it sort of went with the peaceful intro so I ran with it..

What would be equally as funny is if Alicia Keys' fans somewhere are going "what the fuck is a Gregor The Terror"? :D
