I too am interested in a pair of Naiants. I've had my eye on the new X-W's with the pressure waveplate. It's funky looking but, it is an interesting concept for an omni and sounds like a very logical feature.

Do it but not out of boredom - curiosity is a good way to approach them because then you'll experiment with them. I have a couple of Niants & I really like them because a) they are as described & b) they do a terrific job.
& No he won't ban you he just doesn't want you to be bored.

MSH, what happened to the other X series mics you had? I had planned on picking a pair up (for the life of me can't remember the model) but I don't see it on your site anymore.

If you don't see it, I discontinued it. Basically, I can only make so many different things without going insane . . . the X-X lapel mic is on hiatus though, it will be back shortly. X-Q is gone for good. I'm still cogitating a 16mm omni mic, that might happen sometime in the spring. Other than that, I am pretty much done with mic changes for the year.

Wow, the XM jumped in price a whole lot. I purchased one sometime in late 2008 if I recall, and it was much cheaper than $80. It looks that there is a new version out now?
