so i FINALLY managed to get the wee red box hooked up to the pc,,,and ACTUALLY got the tracks transferred via USB mode,,using the free download of N-Track
only to discover that all i can do with the tracks is play around with the levels. theres no way to mix or make a cd of the song? jeeez,,,,
i thought it would be like when you get MMJB or Nero or something,,
where it lets you have a few free burns before it runs out. Apparently not,,,,,,,,
Boo,,,,,,,

evaluation

quote from the web pag

The evaluation version is fully usable. It has no limitations in the number or lenght of the tracks. However, from time to time a registration reminder dialog box will appear (but not during playback or recording) and some advanced features require the program to be registered: rendering (mixdown) to a single wave file is disabled; real-time effects work only on the first track; no more that 2 non-overlapping wave files can coexist in a single track

does it run well on your computer, its to evaluate and try, if it runs well buy it, i think its great, or try a feww different demo versions, compare the prices and pick something else

hi Dave
its not really FULLY usable really then is it?
i just thought id be able to do at least one song to cd t
o check it out.
now its just sitting there with no place to go.
i tried NTRack before many months ago,,,but i had so many little parts of tracks all over the place that it was beyond me to use. this time i actualy only had 6 tracks,,so i didnt have to fight with it to let me put things in the right place like last time.
im torn over wether to buy it or not.
there must be a better way to get wee track parts to sit in the right place than the clumsy dragging ariund it made me do last time i tried it huh?
very frstrating having it just "out" by a split second.
cheers for the reply,,,,,,,

just an idea

can you play the song on your computer, then output from the speakers out to a recorder or burner?

how many tracks are you able to use befor it starts to have problems.

i get get around 15 gove or take depending on effects.. i personally think it is very user friendly, and have had no problems with it what so ever.

maybe ask santa to pay for it...

Hi mate
i could only really do that from the headphone out of my speakers im afraid.
tthe time before when i tried it, i must have forgot to delete unused cos there were about 50 tracks! Jeeez!
no wonder i couldnt sort it out.
i also meant that there seemed to be no way to get a wee part put into the main track properly,,! every time i tried to adjust it a TINY fraction so it would sit right,,it wasnt happening for me.
it seems the NTRACKS is the optimim method for us MR8 owners to use with the pc,so maybe i should just bite the bullet and see ifi can muddle my way through i f i buy it huh?
Otherwise im stuck within the confines of the weee red box,,and it gets awful claustrophobic in there very quickly!
Hmm,,what to do,,,,,,,
(RUBS CHIN)"OH SANTAAAAAAAAAA"?
Heheheeh!
Cheers

Dave,,,
i also found that the tracks i had recorded were reversed when i put them on the pc. when i moved it to the left ,,
it went to the right and so on.
odd!

wow

thats a new one, there is a guy named teej on the n track forum here, he seems to have tons of experience post this over there, and see if he has any ideas

might want to try on the n reac forum at fasoft too, lots of knowledge there also

site

hit user forums by brand
then hit n track

also fasoft.com has a great forum

as far as splicing parts in it really works great with some practice, you have to put the part in a new track and fade the old track out as you fade the new track in....opposite for the end of the splice. i too was trying to past parts into the original track and was dirrected to do it this way, works alot easier for me

N TRACKS etc

Thanks Dave,,,
ooh,,that sounds complicated,
but i will have a go when the time comes! i stll feel scared when i finally delete stuff from the MR8,,just in case!
Hehehhehe!
Cheers man

You'll figure it out. When I first started with N-track I spent a lot of time in the help file. It has a great help file.
