any promotion is good promotion....yuou gotta use everything you can get your hands on.
 
Before, it was just annoying but now it's making me angry; those clowns are posting on the J. Dilla tribute page!

What happened to RESPECTING OUR FALLEN SOLDIERS?!

Whadd'y'all think? I got some of clowns on my page and then I deleted they commments and dropped them from the friend list. Anyone else have this problem?

cant really knock its just a artist trying to get heard plus is works in term of getting page hits so you cant really knock it..i actually sold a track by doin this so i guess im one of those idiots homie....lol
 
Read what I just said though - that's going beyond the line of acceptability.

alot of cats are just auto sending messages to their friends list though bots, if j dilla or proof are somehow on their friends list, they will get the comments too.
 
It exposes you to people who may not have heard your work.I swear by it .I getting paid from contacts I made there.I'm also into party promotion and people see my flyers who live in the area tell they people and its on from there.Music wise and promotion wise.
 
True indeed i mind dont people promoting cause they on the same mission im on so i help em anyway i can.....

but i dont like it when people post videos on my comments those gotta go 4sho
 
I post my myspace link because I would like to people to to hear my music and give feedback, not looking for a big deal, I've been through it with A&R companies telling me "my music is being consider for a possible publishinig deal." I make beats because I enjoy music, its what I do, I also like hearing others peoples music, it keeps me away from all the crap on the radio and tv now
 
but other than Myspace has a big network, what's so special about it? It doesn't have much of a page for letting people listen 2 your (general people) music.
 
I'm not against MySpace Music itself; I do it too. I'm talking about the folks that put 40 comments in every rappers pic and page with their audio player in it and a message that reads "I AM THE BEST; LISTEN TO ME!" twenty times.

but music wise how do u fellas like it?
 
I'm not much of a rap/hip-hop guy, but I do listen to what people are doing around here once in a while. I'm certainly not qualified to critique this genre, but as I added in my last post (probably when you were replying), I like "Slow Groove". Nice "kick back" and listen track. Production wise, seems like a good mix to me and I like the keys loop with the beat.

I'm a fan of myspace too, but the quality of the player really doesn't do much for me.
