Ok, here's another song I just recorded, only this time, I really dropped the reverb. Still not exactly what I wanted regarding effects for this song, but right now, it's about as close as I can get, not really knowing what I really want yet. Any suggestions on how I could better the vocals in this song (other than getting someone else to sing it lol) ;) So again, using my wife's facebook account to get into SoundCloud in the below link. Thanks.

Excellent-Good playing, singing, song. The production could be polished a bit. That verb on the main vocal isn't doing it for me, it keeps the vocal on top of the mix, but it doesn't sound like a natural space inside the music. I would experiment with some different reverbs(plates?). There's some nice mandolin and pedal steel in there-I would feature them a little more when they do licks, you can do stuff like this pretty easily with automation-simple drawing lines. The drum part is appropriate but kind of dull sounding, the snare is lacking in high end -would make the tune jump a bit i think. Even with my nitpicks this is still very listenable because the quality of the playing, song and singing is evident. Wouldnt sound out of place on a radio station to me, with a little polish. Good job.
