Hello everybody!
...and hello Greg! :D

A couple of weeks ago I recorded a song called "My unreasonable heart" which contains of two tracks glued together. I think both of the parts belong two each other but I´m not sure if the transition between them is okay or if it is too abrupt. On the other hand I would like to know what you think about the songwriting. I wanted the song to be a bit cheesy...but maybe it is...you know...TOO cheesy.

ZILLE - MY UNREASONABLE HEART

~~~ My unreasonable heart ~~~
Oh so suddenly
This mildly befuddling
Slightly unsettling
Feeling in me appeared
Just recently
My life was half-decent
She gave me no reason
To think I could come on to her
But that blink with her eyelid
Made me think what if I had
What if I would
What if I could
What if I
My half-assed easiness
Turned into a cheesy mess
Now I am a measly pest
Who constantly feels out of place
My heart is unreasonable
And my body´s not feasible
To repress the treasonable
Smirk that deforms my whole face
Cause that blink with her eyelid
Made me think what if I had
What if I would
What if I could
What if I
Last morning I stared at my coffe-cup
As if I wanted to jump right in it
My stubble made me look just like a slob
“The day has dawned so I might as well begin it.”
The urge to kill grew with every single word
From the radio DJ
The lovesong that he played
Just made it worse
Cause they reminded me it´s still a
Yeah, it´s a long, long way to your heart
And I don’t know if I could travel the distance for you
Yeah, it´s a long, long way to your heart
All this shameful, shitty chit-chat should
Have made it clear
That there is something you might overlook
I´m jumping, I´m waving, I´m running, I´m running, I´m running
Out of ideas
Thanks for listening
Daniel
This doesn't sound too bad. I'm not even sure where the transition between the two tracks was. I imagine it probably just sticks out to you because you're listening for it.
It wasn't all that cheesy either. Compared to almost every other German musician I've ever heard, this is pretty straight-laced. :D
You had some kind of filter effect on some of the background vocals near the middle? I'd say you probably don't need that.
Lol, dude. The recording is really good. The song is pretty fucking cheesy, but I expect that from you now, so it's not such a shocker. :D
