Good 1st effort

I am fairly new to the mr8 too. I found I am getting much better recordings since adding a mixer. On its own the mr8 does not get enough signal. Also I am using audacity to mix on the computer and like the ease of it. Audacity is free and works well with the mr8 wav manager.

Your songs are impressive ninestein. I have the same mixer as you too. Is the program you use, Audacity, any good?

audacity

I have nothing to compare it to, and am still new but I lov e Audacity. The best part is it's free. Besides the effects that come with it there are loads of VST effect downloads also free. I am cheap, so it is best for me. I almost spent the $49. for Ntrack but then noticed it would be $20. more for an EQ. What else would I need? Anyways, I went with free and so far it has worked out good.

n track eq

that is for a parametric eq, there is a 20 band eq built into ever channel on n trac, so each channel can be eqed seperatly, i use audio city for some wav editing but n track is a very superior program when it comes to recording and especially mixing, i think most people only use audio city for editing wav files, that is one of n tracks lower points...

you sould try the demo version, you might be surprised at all the differences
all the free plug ins you already downloaded will work in n track too..

but hey sometimes free is what you need right....

thanks

I did get the free nTrack. I did not figure out how to use it to its full capability. The effects only work on 1st track untill you purchase.

I am using wav files from the mr8 w/ audacity. So far it works fine. But then I have nothing to compare it to. Maybe I should get the nTrack. I guess I do not know what I am missing.
