My recordings sound like booty hole

I like the name DeeNees seems kind of like a rip off of eminem. I think the person who made the comment regarding trying to be black should take a step back for a second. There are white kids from inner city projects that grow up talking and acting a certain way thats often associated with inner city african americans. If thats who you are then cool thats who you are, I wouldn't tell a black kid in an all white neighborhood to "stop acting white". I'm not pulling Lajon from Sevendust aside and saying hey man try to act more black. I can't say I completely hated your songs not my taste but its decent, the recordings aren't very good but I think more of what makes a recording sound like poo is the talent. I've heard great songs done on as crappy gear as yours and while the sound quality may not be the greatest the songs still kicked ass and were a pleasure to listen to. I'd say if you're wanting pro quality recordings then do this. Stop buying recording gear, stop recording yourself and start concentrating on writing amazing songs and let the pro's record it. Hell there's probably some homerecording.com guys on here that'll record you for a small fee. So you need to decide do you wanna write great music, or be a great engineer cause at this point it'll take you a while to get to pro level which will slow down your creative process.

Hey yo. I don't know too many inner city kids that have nice shiz like computers and recording gear yo.....fo shizzle.

It sounds like you are standing in front of your stereo rapping into a mic that's a couple feet in front of you. This ain't it.

If you'd listened to anything anyone's told you, you'd know that no-one can look at your dials and tell you what to do. You have to learn how to use the stuff. Start here, and don't come back till you've dealt with your illiteracy, stupidity, aggressiveness and racist and homophobic tendencies.

Of that list, I'd start with illiteracy and aggressiveness.

There's enough detail in these two threads for you to work out what's wrong and start making changes. So go and 'handle business' instead of trolling around here looking for a fight.

First off, why is beeing a homosexual bad? And no, I don't "feel you".

Secondly, being professional means learning how to do stuff. That is a shitload of work that takes years. You will not get professional sounds just by buying a compressor and asking what to do. It's way to much to explain in one topic.

You are on your own, I would suggest getting a book and learning what you are doing before you spend any more money or waste any more of our time.

It ain't bad, its just a figure of speech. Anyways

amen there.

not saying that this is the case here......but looking at society as a whole, it seems that asking some people to "work" or "learn stuff" is asking FAR too much.
