My PC's in slow-mo!

I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this question, but here goes:

After I shut down nuendo and try to do anything else, my pc runs awful slow. It will run great while nuendo is running, but after I shut it down and try to run anything else (photoshop, internet, frontpage, esc.) it seems to take forever to load, process, move-- do anything, even small tasks like opening an e-mail take longer. The only remedy for this is to restart my computer. Any ideas?

I am running XP on a Toshiba Sattelite 6100 pro, 1.6 gig 500k, with a firewire 80G 7200rpm drive, Layla soundcard.

The damn server for this BBS is running in slow mo damnit.

It appears something within your Nuendo program is creating a problem. Backup your data and uninstall & reinstall nuendo and perhaps this will clear it up. After uninstall dump everything associated with it including registry entries.
 
I have 500 MB RAM, and I have already tried to re-install nuendo. I wonder if it is more likely a nuendo problem or maybe a XP problem?
