YO PO-lease-Man:
I kind of remember sending a post like this before to you; maybe not?
The Boss 770 drum box will delight your ears and your desire for many patches; it comes with 400 drum patches and 400 spaces to store you own creations.
Crystal clear sounds. I've only used three patches so far and they come through my MD-8 very clear and crisp and do not require much EQ tweaking.
I just used a Bossa Nova patch to do a tune and it sets up very nicely for many tunes, if you dig Latin stuff.
I've probably only explored about 15% of the box. Like the other day I punched in the "Ambience Choices" and there are ten choices. Just push the cursor down the line and listen to the neat room changes the ambience provides. There is a "flanging" ambience choice which is very interesting.
Cost: The 770 ran me abou 361 but I've heard/read on this site, someone got it a bit cheaper. It's a nice drum machine. As soon as I plugged it in, I retired my SR-16 Alesis box. The Alesis got out-teched.
Have fun listening and choosing,
Green Hornet
