Nakatira

That Norwegian Bastard
This is a rehearsal recording from my new band made a few weeks ago.

7 traks were used on a firepod.

bass, guitar, keys, kick, snare, OH`s and Vox.

This recording is not complete as the "Mac:mad:" we used had a Core audio problem of some sorts so the outro is faded away.

Would love to hear some comments about the song

Classic Rock at it's finest, Nakatira. I really like the arrangement on this one. It takes me back to the 70's - Uriah Heap comes to mind... The mix has turned out really well. The instruments and vocals are all clean, clear and well balanced. Cool stuff... Is this a full new band or just a few new members? Are you playing guitar or keyboards on this track?

Thanks Mate.

This is a complete new line up. and a new band.

My old band Münchausen had to be put to sleep due to priority issues.

The name for this band is French and is spelled D`accord.

I think it means ok in french.

but it could also be The- Chord, in Norwegian.

So its easy for wordplay:D

We`ll be a 4 piece band.

I`m playing keys on this track, and I sing.

Well that answers all my questions! :D

I like it a lot, naka! Can't wait to hear more.

Enjoyed it Nakatira. The arrangement holds interest with all the variety. I like the guitar solo around 3:50. Good balance of the vocal in the mix and good feel to the vocal performance.

Bass gtr is a little hot I think - 100 Hz-ish. Snare sounds kind of roomy to me. Maybe it would sound out of balance though with more of the close snare mic mixed in. Dunno. Good overall.

I really like it once it's beyond the boogie beginnings - good boogie beginning but it becomes its own beats after that - a touch of DP in the organ riff which is cool - be even cooler if you couild over drive that organ sound through a valve amp.
Good balance & arrangement - I quite like the snare - because it sounds like a snare! It might be a little loud compared to the rest of the kit I suppose.
The run out is cool too though the bleeps are a little sudden.
So that makes the whole thing VERY COOL.
My PROGnosis - I'll play it again Sam!
