Thank You all. I'm done with this thread now so I appreciate all replies. VERY helpful.

OK GROUP HUG LOL GUESS I LIED

I'm back with another question....

why is everyone telling me to get rokit 5's for mixing instead of the rokit 6 or 8

is it really the smaller and cheaper the more accurate?

or is it because they own the 5 and are being biased? lol

Because those are the cheapest of the set and assume it's what just what you can afford.

IF you can, get krk rokit 8's

That is regular everday price. You do know that right?

GC by me will have the krk5 $225 for the pair basically.

Im not in the market for monitors myself and i wasn't gonna go window shopping for you.I just got their catalog so i figured i'd just throw it out there.

What?

No beer?

I have the Wharfedales 8.2's and like them. They're the only monitors i've ever had though so i can't tell you which is better. No matter which monitors you decide on you'll still have to learn them and how they translate.

Not to mention the room you mix in will be completely different then someone else's room. The exact same monitors will sound different to everybody but the krk 5's seem to be popular right now.For the price they seem to be a good choice and mostly everyone's on a budget these days.
