I see deaf people
one upon a time my midiman 8x8 didnt have the firmware for Win 7 so i got the upgraded chips from Avid and installed them...

still couldnt get it working

or if i did it was for brief flashes...yesterday four hours of hard resets, driver reinstallation, crying, threatening it ...i found out if i turn my slim phatty on first it worked...not any other synth or anything else plugged into it, only the slim phatty...now I can turn the synth off and it will still work but it has to be on to get it working in the first place

wtf?

and they lived happily ever after :drunk: :)

The End

How do you like the Slim Phatty?

Do you use MIDI-OX with the 8x8?

i like it fine, I havent used it all that much as i was abroad for five months but I getting to know it better now..Im sure its more expensive sibling will sound fatter but i cant think how...for its price awesome

I dont use MIDI-OX, should I??

Does the MidiSport have its own routing software? I've always used MIDI-OX with the 4x4s. I had over 20 INs/OUTs connected in MIDI-OX at once (two 4x4s, MOTU MTP, MOTU micro lite, audio card MIDI). Then my PC died. I have a Yamaha standalone patchbay now.

I don't know if the 8x8 has its' own routing sw or not. I've always used MIDI-OX for mapping routings through it.

never used any software other than the midisports drivers...same with the 2x2's i used to run

ill have to look at this...its pretty stable now, as long as i turn on the moog first...weird
