This is a 4 piece band that ive just finished recording with, there are two writers (with 2 songs each)

Two different drum kits were used, both recorded like this:
Overheads - Behringer C2 -> Audiobuddy
Kick - SM57 ->Behringer mixer (had to go to line input as there is only one pre)
Snare - SM57 -> Behringer Mixer

Electric Guitars
Fender tube amps - Sm57 - Audiobuddy

vocals and acc guitars
Studioprojects b1 - audiobuddy

Bass - Audiobuddy

All though a delta 44 into cubase sx2, monitored with krk rokit 5's

I would love some feedback on these (mix wise),
thank you in advance

Im listening to Black Eyed right now. I think their music sounds really cool. I think you could really turn up your overheads and snare in the mix. Either that or lay off the kick personally. I love both of the guitars sounds going on. I think they came out great. I wish I could get some tone like that. I think the vocals could come up a little more. They have a good way of creating a little mood. They don't rush and I don't hear them falling into cliche's. Really cool stuff. Keep it up.Really cool stuff.:):):):D

IMO the drums sound to distant on "Black Eyed". Not sure if it's like that on the other tracks. They're just buried and seem lifeless to me. Nice guitar sound though!

kool guitars,

good song, but yeh snare needs something more (volume and like something kool, reverb?,delay? something to make it go "pow"), bass is good. vocals need to be more up front in the mix, boost 1-3 khz area.

guitar is awsome tho.

Cheers for the replys, its really helpful getting some feedback :)
Erockrazer i know what you are saying, i was trying to get away with less drum sound, because i think they are my weak link. I would be interested with your opinions on the other tracks if you have the time :D (possibly that was a tad cheeky!)

jrhager84, again i agree with you. The drums were recorded completely dry but the band had visions of Death Cab style epic reverb on them, gotta satisfy the band :eek:...;)

mrhotapples - Thank you, im trying to reach the limits of what i have got

drbyatch - Yeh i think i tried to sit the snare in there rather than make it prominent. thanks for the comments on guitars, to be honest with good players with good amps and guitars there isnt much to do, but i will still happily take the credit :D

ANYONE! I would be interested with your opinions on the other tracks if you have the time :D (possibly that was a tad cheeky!)

I listened to Unknown..... The "setting sun" section has really good stereo/dynamics to it. Prior to and after that the mix seems a bit centered and a bit too level. The solo guitar tone(s) at the end are quite good, nice use of effects. The solo section also rocks nice and hard - really has a good drive to it...

:D:):D:)

Wow, that's good stuff. "On a Wire" sounds like something right out of Ryan Adam's song book. nice. Overall everything is decent, has a nice LIVE sound to it. Not sure if that's what you want, but it sounds LIVE! Nice.

The mix sounds like its behind a curtain.
Think its got alot to do with the berringher thing you used, plus mixing skills.
Cool stuff.
