check out a rockstar's dream on www.mp3.com/2lim and see if you like it better than my last attempts, i made the vocals stand out more so for those of you who asked for compression(in my other attempts) i made the effort to get the vocals nice and clear.

AHHHHHHHHH four track recording when will the torment end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(in a week when i get my eight track) AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH i hat ping ponging but i had to so the drums are on with the bass(this will take soem severe EQ mastering to fix)

No need to bounce traks man! Just get rid of the second guitar player and run the drums mono (Doh!) j/k

2lim,

Why don't you paste the tracks after they are in the computer? No need to ping pong. Are you analog or digital? With my 4trac digital I cut the drums in stereo add bass and rhythm guitar then I copy the whole mess to another song ping pong it all down to one trac for monitoring. I use that copy for three part harmonies or whatever. If I want to add anything else like solos. I copy the original 4 tracks to a third song ping pong again for monitoring and I have three tracks open again.

I send everything over to the computer seperately or in stereo in the case of drums, through effects and compression. I apply noise reduction with my editing software and mix/paste the tracks together there. Listen to my first Mp3 posted here. It's not the best but it works pretty well.
