My guitar sounds bad in my recordings.

All I can say is...you take what you have and dial the shit out of it....and that's it, that's going to be as good as you can get it under the circumstances....until you have better options.

Words to live by. That pretty much sums up what home recording is all about.

your guitar sounds pretty good all I would do is compress it by roughly 3db and put a really tiny amount of a gate over your guitar also you can try an envalop on your guitar as well
 
Hey everyone. Ended up having to have emergency surgery and a move planned. I'm going to go through this all again and start dialing in more stuff in the near future.

I am in a similar situation as you in regards to playing music, so I got a Kemper and my recording woes are no more. Seriously look at them, they are awesome.
