I'm getting my Duncans wired in. Why is it taking so long? :(

Obviously they have made off with your guitar and they are planning on sticking it to you. I would just go on down there with an assault rifle.

Its like paying in a cheque. They play it on the stockmarket for 5 days before it clears in your account....Some guy in the guitar shop doesn't own a guitar as he uses the ones he works on to do his gigs.

It's their first time doing this type of work. Be patient or else they could screw up even more.... ;)

Most likely, because there are a bunch of people in front of you in the queue. I mean, I know you want your guitar right now, but so do all the people who brought theirs in first. Don't worry, though, it will get done.

Just relax, have sip of Nyquil... It'll be okay... :D

So what kind of Duncans are you having put in?

JB in the bridge, 59 in the neck--for the 7 string. I'm chompin' at the bit!

Actually, I found out that they've been having a pretty rough time with the funny Ibanez wiring. One of the old pickups only had 2 wires instead of four (not including the ground), and they said the switch is wired pretty goofily. They started on it yesterday, and found out that they definitely hooked everything up wrong. Here's to hoping...

You'll love that pick up combo I bet. I have a guitar with a jb in the bridge and it's very vesatile. My les paul has a chrome 59 in the bridge and I love it so much that I'm thinking about putting in a 59 in the neck as well.

The guitarist from tool uses a 59 in his silver l.p. which is what made me want it. I wanting something heavy but not stupid crazy heavy.

Actually, your guitar got sent to me, and if you want it back, it's gonna cost....BIGTIME!!!!!

Just talked to the shop and they're waiting for Ibanez to fax them a schematic for the switch. (actually, they've been waiting since this morning when they called to update me...) Light, have you worked on these? It's a S7420FMTT. (or just S7420 is the "normal" model). Guess I'm just getting a little worried here. I mean...it's eight wires. I'm starting to think that I could have tried this with every wrong possible combination and eventually ended up hitting the correct wiring during this time...

That's what's in my Schecter C7.

Though It'd be interesting to hear what a dimarzio S.S. would sound like, I think I'd come back to the JB....

Send it to me, I'll fix it. But hurry, after Christmas I'll be swamped doing set ups on a ton of new guitars.
