Hi guys + girls.
For the last few years i have wanted to have my own studio at home, i have used many studios in london/reading and kent but i want to be able to produce my own music at home without the stupid studio fees.

Here is what i have so far (Collected over the last year)
Acer Aspire 8930g Win7 64bit
Yamaha Psr 295
M Audio Oxygen 8v2
M Audio Radum
Seagate 1tb Hdd and a WD 500 Gb Hdd
Fl studio 9 (soon buying 10 so anyone who has used it appreciate feedback)

What i am looking for is:
some good but cheap monitors for around 100-150 quid for a pair
A USB mixing desk so i can record vocals, and maybe this can be used as a sound card ?
Good ish vocal mic for female vocals
laptop stand so i can get my laptop up off of the desk and wack the mixer under it.

I have a budget of a maximum 450 for all of it, so appreciate any help i can get on this issue as i am rely getting into the production side of things, being on tour alot and talking to the sound guys and seeing hundreds of bands each year rely makes me want to be able to write and perform my tracks.
I produce Dubstep/Dance and will be bringing that live withh full percussion/drums guitars singers dj ect ect.

Thankyou very much
Alex:D

Hi,
I record in analogue so I don't know about the computer side of things really. For the monitors though, I would recommend the Studiospares SN10s. I'm very pleased with my pair. You'll need an amp to drive them as they're passive (I would recommend the Alesis RA150). For the microphone I would really strongly recommend the Oktava MK-219. It a large diaphragm condenser that I've found to sound good on almost anything. It's certainly great for vocals. It may put your budget over the edge but you should be able to pick one up off Ebay for around 100 quid.
