this is my first recording ever with my band the vocals suck we got a new one now but this is my first time ever recording a band. What I used 4 dynamic mics cheap gimini ones only like 16$ my friend gave me software cool edit pro 2 amd my mixer behrinhger xenyx 1204 Let me know what you think guys it sucks cause I didnt know about compresion.

I'm just an old fart who has been playing for many years.... one time I said the same things you are saying to someone. That this was bad and that was not just right etc. That day I learned a new rule. I was told don’t point out what you think is wrong with your creations............just put them up for observations and let others tell what they think…what they think is not always right anyway. One time I read a poem, maybe it was a song (can't remember) a person wrote and asked them to explain what it meant to them. The writer said...I don't tell others what it means...it just means what ever you think it means to you. Thus.......let people listen, they might miss what you think needs fixing...then just fix it in private. Huh?

I think the timing of your music is great…….some of that kind of music is hard for everybody to keep on time. But your members did a good job. And for just putting up a few mikes and going for it on a first time try……….things were pretty much balanced for what they could have been. Just giving my opinion……….Don’t say it sucks…it’s not so bad at all. Keep up the effort……things only get better as you go along the path.
