I just wrote and recorded a batch of new songs on a Boss BR-532.
I was wondering if could get some feedback to post on my web site. Im in the middle of Alaska and its hard to get feedback from anyone up here, so i would really appreciate if you listened.
I'll post any reviews good or bad.
The songs are all short pop rock songs.....
The songs are free to listen to!
The site is www.mp3.com/ak49
Thanks for your help,

?

I know i'm new here. but why cant i gte even one person to listen to my music.....do i have to be part of a club or something?

I had a big review of all your mp3's typed up but the damn browser crashed and I dont want to type it again, so here is a summery.

Overall catchy guitar grooves though the guitar seems a bit bass heavy (my guitar tracks are usualy bass heavy too...) Lack of bass guitar, if there is one I couldn't hear it. Nice echo on vocals on Gravity Bong. Nice Rob Zombieness on JIHAD. Beer induced vocals on Use Words Like (hey, thats just my opinion ;) ) I'm not crazy about Fat Boy, too much echo on vocals this time, strange cut outs at the beginning. Same bass heaviness on guitar even though it is acoustic. Still no bass guitar. I should mention that I listened to these on crappy computer speakers...

Not bad at all for your first mp3's, especially since you added vocals too. Keep up the good work!

My mp3's are quite a different style and stuff from yours but check 'em out if you want.

klinton,

First, I have a gravity bong.

Not bad at all for your first stuff. There is definetly a lack of bass. Maybe also try to double the guitar. It definetly sounds a bit like your hammered on some of these songs, BUT it also gives it an element of fun. Maybe not on all of them though. I have the same problems with vocals, but maybe try to be a little easier with the effects. Pretty cool though. I think I'll hit the gravity bong now, good idea.

Good luck!

Fun stuff!

As far as actual mix quality, I have a couple things to say.

First, the tracks are in stereo but very little use is made of it. It seems like everything is pretty much dead center. That could be an artifact of your mp3 encoding...

The fadeout on "Use Words Like Sh!t" is a bit abrupt.

The echo on the guitar and vocals on the ballad seems a bit over the top.

Did you try compressing the acoustic guitar on the ballad? It kinda passes in and out of the mix.

I hope this helps. I like the tracks!

you might want to wait more than two hours before you expect replies:D

on a scale of 1 to 10, I rate your music:
7= originality
6 1/2 = performance
6= recording quality.
12= sounds like you're stoned:eek:

hey thanks for all the feedback, i'll be more patient from now on. I checked out your music and enjoyed it, it was produced very well.
i re-did most of those songs taking away the echo and the amount of vocal layering. Tryed to add to he guitar and bass.
Anyways thanks again..

BTW I have a new song called 'i am man' that i think you wil like ore than the others if you wanna check it at www.mp3.com/ak49

thanks again
