I know it's a drum machine, but I would like the snare a little less bright, and what there is of the kick sounded a littlle muddy. Great song, great energy, smooth mix. I'd say your on the right track.

hey 320kb is really harsh for those of us bandwith deprived. check out VBR (no I don't work for them....they wouldn't hire me).

i bet if you write something about your girlfriend your coolness factor will multiply significantly in her mind.

Mbuster...I'm grabbing that 320 right now. You should switch back to either something VBR or just use 192 kbit as opposed to 128 which is not very good, or 320 which is a much larger file. 320 is good if you want a quick way to collaborate with someone.

nice dude...

But wheres the cream filling, AKA guitar solo?

Ahhh, in search of the elusive guitar solo. Actually, there's one in the works as we speak... Actually now I'm nervous it won't rock enough, but It's going to go right at that bridge\breakdown section after the part with all the toms. And yes I'll put a smaller size version up now. I'm very new at this whole mp3 thing, and since I only have access to a computer at work, and there's no speakers or soundcard, I'm doing all this without ever having heard what these conversions sound like. Is this idiotic or what? I really want to hear everybody's stuff. It is so cool to be able to talk to other guys who do this stuff too. SLuiCe, if you put some vocals on that song, everybody is going to hear it but me!!!!

pretty good guitar sounds and the bass is there but the drum sounds............eh. There has to be better sounds on that machine. The snare in particular is very thin and trebly sounding...you need a thicker snare with some body to it. The songs, there are two of them and I liked Meatgrinder best ( I might have that name wrong, it's meat something). Both songs do sound unfinished though. If you're gonna do a song with no vocals, then it simply has to have some kind of lead instrument wailing throughout the tune. Nice for a first offer and you've gotten good results out of your BR-8

Zee drum nazis are here. You papers please. Oh, a one hitter vill do. Bring the kick WAY up. I might have picked a different snare sound but what the heck.

Pretty much what jumps out at me, too, is that snare... sounds like a shelf EQ above 5k... whoa, too much... needs some THUD...

Does the bass go away at 2:18? Maybe just drops in volume...

Seems like there's an overall "woolyness" to the mix... sounds like a typical "shelf the highs" mix, where you're boosting some stuff that's not there... are you boosting anything on the guitar trax? Try removing any high boosts on the guits... and ESP the drum trax... then tweak the levels and see if the "fuzziness" doesn't go down some.

Could you roll off some lows on the guits? Try something around 180Hz... see if that doesn't open ya up some...

Nice arrangement; tight sounding.

Actually, as far as EQ goes, I really didn't do much of anything after recording. Good suggestions, though, after listening for it, I hear what you're saying. On another note, I'm fairly disapointed nobody made fun of my incredibly stupid artist profile on NWR. Or maybe nobody saw it. I expected to get blasted for being a moron!

Sorry, there's a BUNCH of more deserving morons to be ridiculed ahead of you.:D :D :D

maybe someone else can listen and pretend to be me, because my computer has no speakers. This just isn't fair.

I think I've got the first verse written.

It's all about a wondercow who can't find her horns...

;)

No, I really do have the first verse written Mark. It's good to just rock out every now and then!

so it's not really about the wondercow? Too bad, I was just thinking how refreshing it would be to hear some real meaningfull lyrics these days.

hahaha...actually I'm recording it right now. (Sorry Steve...I'll write about you later.) Where is there going to be a guitar solo? You can PM me if you'd like. I'm kind of writing and recording all at once.

Hey Mark, check your PM's. I finished the vocal if you want to hear it. Just not sure how you want it delivered? MP3?
I love those guitars. They give me left and right hooks to the gut.

Hey mbuster........

........some very nice tight r. guitar riffage goin on there. ....as apposed to r. guitar ruffage which causes a groove to slide nicely, but really isnt very solid. ....... :D

Nice stuff man...... ......and w/ a little sluice'age thrown in....... Its gonna be real nice.

Nice work
