My first attempt at recording REAL drums

I didn't use any proper drum mic's on this, I used a few vocal
mic's I had lying around. Im planning on getting some good
drum mic's down the road though. My cymbals are kinda crappy
but not TO bad though haha.

p.s be gentle, iv'e only been playing for about a month

I will only comment on the drums as you asked..

Actually it sounds pretty decent to me, after you mentioning your limited skills and gear. In the first place it´s place well at least.

Then: mixingwise I hear too much overheadsignal here, or in any case way too much hihat. Also it has got too much reverb on it, try to keep it drier.

The kick sounds cool to me, put it up in the mix.
Same goes for the snare, but this one needs some compression to beef it up AND the reverb you are (hopefully) going to take away from the overheads.

As I said: very very nice for a first attempt!
