the pigeon knows the way.
So I had some downtime and decided to go for it.

Timeline:
1. Went out to the shop to start building
2. Decided it was necessary to plan/design first in order to not end up screwing up the rack space measurements and all
3. 4 trips to Home Depot
4. Many hours in the shop over the course of a week
5. I have a nice, extremely stout 25U rackmount case and I'm happy

Stain turned out to be much darker than I would have liked. heh. Oh well.

What do you guys think?

It's going to take me a while to fill this thing up. hahaha.

Very nice.
It's not the cost so much as, building what suits your needs.
:)

Looks great Austinm08 .....at least you didn't do the cut twice and it's still to short scenario!

Nice job!
Now comes the expensive part.... filling it:D

:laughings: With out a doubt!

One thing you should do is install in the back plenty of Edison plugs to plug everything into and take into account those nasty wall warts!!!!

Thanks, guys!

Moresound, I actually have a power strip mounted on one of the rear 2x4 supports, but it only has six outlets. Enough for now at least!

So how much equipment can you have going before you should get a power conditioner? I don't know much about that stuff.
