Yeah, it is smallish isn't it. I didn't realise until I actually got them back... but I'm short sighted, so I can still read stuff fine without glasses...![]()
Just in the last year it's become a real problem for me. I have new glasses on order with a stronger prescription. Only for reading, distance I'm okay.
Listened through once. Will put on my phone for an upcoming trip where I'll have plenty o' time to listen to music.
My first impression was how well balanced all the songs are. I put that feat squarely on your mastering engineer. Yeah, okay, some of that goes to you too, but over several years of songwriting and a learning curve for the technical aspect, mixes change and it's an act of god to get all those songs to work together as an album. Your ME had great material to work with, but he took your album up an order of magnitude.
I found the CD comfortable to listen to. Meaning, I can listen to it while doing other things and not pay too much attention... or I can listen intently and focus on the many different elements buried within each song. At no point did I feel like I had enough and wanted to turn it off. This one is going to get listened to a lot. Good thing you can't wear out the grooves of a digital file.
