Yeah, it is smallish isn't it. I didn't realise until I actually got them back... but I'm short sighted, so I can still read stuff fine without glasses... ;)

Just in the last year it's become a real problem for me. I have new glasses on order with a stronger prescription. Only for reading, distance I'm okay.

Listened through once. Will put on my phone for an upcoming trip where I'll have plenty o' time to listen to music.

My first impression was how well balanced all the songs are. I put that feat squarely on your mastering engineer. Yeah, okay, some of that goes to you too, but over several years of songwriting and a learning curve for the technical aspect, mixes change and it's an act of god to get all those songs to work together as an album. Your ME had great material to work with, but he took your album up an order of magnitude.

I found the CD comfortable to listen to. Meaning, I can listen to it while doing other things and not pay too much attention... or I can listen intently and focus on the many different elements buried within each song. At no point did I feel like I had enough and wanted to turn it off. This one is going to get listened to a lot. Good thing you can't wear out the grooves of a digital file.

:D

Hey, glad you're enjoying it, thank you for the kind words... I'll thank the mastering engineer next time I see him and tell him he's done a bang up job for a complete amateur.. :) *stands in front of mirror*

ie. the mastering engineer was actually me, Stillwell Event Horizon, G-Clip, Melda EQ, ReaEq, Basslane and Tessla Pro in some combination, if not necessarily applied in that order. Glad it worked out OK, I was wondering all along how I'd done, not really having a clue... :)

Could have made it louder but didn't want to... seemed I was pushing it as far as it wanted to go.

And on the basis of your comments, I'm going to open the second beer for the evening and bask in a warm glow of satisfaction... :) :drunk:

Ah, that's right. I completely forgot you did it. Good Job!!! :thumbs up: The songs all sound like they were recorded together. That was the most difficult part for me, getting songs from early in my recording learning curve to match up with songs further up the learning curve. And to get songs of different densities to sound like they were at the same levels.

Cool man

That is a challenge for ALL of us. :p

Jimmy and VomitHatSteve.... any sign of the CDs yet? Chili's lobbed about a week ago, so yours can't be far away if they haven't yet got there... :)

I just got mine Friday. Have not had a chance to listen yet.

What is up with the printing being small? I can see it just fine! Eagle eye Jimmy. lol!
