My brain is numb! Please critique.

This song has drums and guitar. I have still to add another guitar, bass and vocals.

Im looking for critique on this mix rather than the song itself, but any commments are more than welcome, be them good or bad. Just be honest. :)

Toms are WAY up front and drier than the rest, almost like you're hearing the whole recording from the vantage point of the mounted tom mics. Drums are banging against the limiter a bit, and the snare sound itself is really flabby. Cymbals, oddly enough, seem fine, and it might could even use a tad more kick. This is in distinct contract to the guitars, which sound spot on the money, in timbre, placement, and mix. Whatever happens, it's gonna be a fun piece when you finish. The raw material sounds great...

I am pretty happy with most of it. The toms being too loud was a mistake. I forgot about them!
I have done a new mix of the song and will post it soon.
This time it has bass.

Could be the snare but it sounds too solid & not metallic enough to be it for me.
The toms are rather a long way up front.
I'd like to hear more.
 
Yeah I agree with the snare. Listening to the top snare mic on its own sounds pretty solid in a bad way. Works a bit better with the bottom snare mic aswell, but not totally happy with it.
